The stunningly lopsided
victory at the battle of New Orleans, actually
fought after the peace was concluded, was the
American's only major success during the War of
1812, but it stood out so prominently against the
long string of pyrrhic victories and dismal defeats
which preceded it that it was enough to catapult
Andrew Jackson, a hitherto unknown frontier
general, into national prominence and eventually
into the White House.
These are unpainted
and unassembled metal hobby kits.
