ROMAN GENERAL, 100 A.D.
(RETAIL US$17.00)
The Legatus Legionis was the
commander of the Roman Legion. He was, under the
Empire, appointed by the Emperor. Unfortunately,
appointment as Legatus was only a step in an
otherwise Political career. Most held Senatorial
rank and had already served as Praetors or Junior
Magistrates. While military ability varied
considerably, the more able could look forward to a
Consulship and if selected as a Governor for an
Imperial province to the command of several
legions.
These are unpainted
and unassembled metal hobby kits.
Unless otherwise noted, these kits are in the
International 54mm
Collectors Scale. Standing figurines are approx.
2-1/2" - 3" tall.
