ANCIENT GREEK WARRIOR

The Greek warrior shown in
combat with the Amazon is following the custom
often depicted in ancient sculptures, of going into
battle naked except for helmet, sword and shield.
The helmet, with a large horsehair crest, is of the
beautiful Corinthian style, covering the whole head
except for a T-shaped face opening guarded by a
nasal bar. The large round shields were painted
with various personal or religious motifs. His
sword has the leaf-shaped blade common to this
period.
These are unpainted
and unassembled metal hobby kits.
Unless otherwise noted, these kits are in the
International 54mm
Collectors Scale. Standing figurines are approx.
2-1/2" - 3" tall.
