AMAZON WARRIOR

Throughout the history of classical greece there
were presistent legends of a race of female
warriors who lived to the NE, somewhere on the
shores of the Black Sea. There is no known
historical basis for the myth; Yet many legends to
of Greek Heroes fighting these Amazons, and some
like Theseus, are said to have married
Amazon-Warrior Queens. One feature which persists
in the legends is the claim that the fierce women
warriors removed the right breast surgically, so as
to pull war-bows more easily. Our model is taken
from the style of the 4th Century B.C. carving on
the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus.
These are unpainted
and unassembled metal hobby kits.
Unless otherwise noted, these kits are in the
International 54mm
Collectors Scale. Standing figurines are approx.
2-1/2" - 3" tall.
