For centuries the
"Barbary Corsairs" and "Sallee Rovers" were the
most feared sea-wolves in the world. Their power
had been intermittently challenged, as in 1805,
when Lt. O'Bannon's little group of U.S. Marines
played such a glorious part in the storming of the
corsair lair of Derna by American and allied
troops. This feat is memorialized in the "Marine
Corps Hymn" ... to the shores of Tripoli
...
These are unpainted
and unassembled metal hobby kits.
