Valiant Miniature Kit# 9743 - US Special Forces Sergeant , 1965. The backbone of an army is its non-commissioned officers, and at the beginning of the Vietnam war the Special Forces NCO's were the cream of the crop. They were equipped and trained for any contingency, and often commanded irregular units of company size or larger.
